COVID-19 Library Service Updates

McAllen Public Library is fully open with enhanced convenience options including Drive-Through Pickup.

All Library branches are open with normal service hours.

Masks are optional.

Drive-Through Pickup Service is available at Main Library Monday - Friday from 9:00AM - 5:00PM.  Patrons may pick up requested materials and receive their new or replacement library card at Main Library’s north side driveway. City of McAllen residents may pick up brown recycle bags with a McAllen water bill or an ID showing a McAllen address.

Computer Labs are open and copy and printing services are available. Find out more about wireless printing here.

Study Rooms, Meeting Rooms, and the Quiet Reading Room are open.

Library Bookstore is open Monday to Saturday, 1:00 - 5:00PM.  Find more information here.

The library is offering in-person programs, many require pre-registration. Marketplace Insurance Assistance, Technology Tutoring and some services continue to be limited to one-on-one assistance, by appointment only. You can find all our programs on our library's website!

Online and Virtual Services are always open. You can enjoy thousands of e-books, audiobooks, magazines, online films, and more from the comfort of your home on our E-Branch.
