In Adult Services, we strive to strengthen and enrich our community by providing opportunities for educational, professional, and personal growth. Whether you are writing a research paper, studying for an exam, learning English, meeting people with common interests, or looking for the next great read, we are the place for you! We offer a wide variety of events, classes, services, and print and electronic collections to suit your needs.

Special Enrollment for health insurance through the Marketplace is happening now, until August 15th. You can sign up for an appointment right here at the library to get help with the registration process from MHP Salud. Find out more here or give MHP Salud a call at (956) 246-4125. 

Starting on Thursday, April 1st, 2021, we will be offering Tech Help sessions by appointment in our MPLab! Whether you need help with Facebook, formatting a Word document, or using a new app on your device, we can help! Sessions are touch-free and socially distanced for your protection. Virtual Zoom sessions are also available. Sign up here.

Want to reserve a study room?

Choose from the 14 Main Library study rooms and 4 Branch Library study rooms.

Terms and Conditions for Study Room Use:

  • Study rooms at the Main Library may be reserved 24 hours in advance.
  • Study rooms at the Lark and Palm View branches may be reserved 2 weeks in advance.
  • You may reserve a maximum of 4 hours per day.
  • Main Library study rooms can accommodate up to 4 or 8 people.
  • Lark and Palm View Branch study rooms can accommodate up to 15 people. 
  • Covered beverages are permitted in the Study Rooms. Food of any kind is not permitted. 
  • Lights must be on at all times in the Study Rooms. If you have a special need for the lights to be dimmed, please inform staff.
  • Latecomers beyond 15 minutes will forfeit their reservation.
  • Breaks of up to 15 minutes are permitted. Please inform staff if you are taking a break from the Study Room.
