Community Spotlight

Pictured are Kate Horan (Library Director), Dr. Esther Herrera (PV Library Branch Manager), Jose Lopez, and Rudy Castillo (City Commissioner).

In November 2024, we had the incredible honor of celebrating Mr. Jose Lopez, who has been a devoted volunteer at Palm View Branch Library since day one! As a teacher, leader, and mentor, Mr. Lopez has made a lasting impact on our community, inspiring countless individuals.

Recently recognized by Texas Highways Magazine for his outstanding service, Mr. Lopez was featured at the Library during Citizens Day, surrounded by family, past students, friends, and both current and former Library employees. City Commissioner Rudy Castillo was present to honor Mr. Lopez's achievements and his lifelong service to our community.

We are so grateful for the difference he has made in the lives of so many and proud to celebrate his incredible contributions. Here's to you, Mr. Lopez!
