Where the Jacarandas Weep

In the twilight of Presidente Porfirio Díaz's reign, Mexico is a country built on blood, forged documents, and dangerous secrets. Felipe Vera rises to power as the Governor of Jalisco, but his success comes at a devastating cost to his conscience and his family's safety. As Felipe executes the ruthless will of a dictator to modernize the nation, a silent rebellion brews in the mining towns of the Sierra Madre, led by his own estranged brother-in-law. Caught in the crossfire of high society's glittering facades and the brutal realities of the caste system is Catarina Vera. Torn from the young man who truly holds her heart, Catarina must navigate a treacherous, loveless marriage to a dangerous captain. Where the Jacarandas Weep is an unforgettable historical saga of a nation on the brink of revolution, and a woman desperate to claim her own destiny.
